Affiliate- Make Money-Free Affiliate-Free Money

Alright, so I am doing a lot of work with the financial sector, and let’s face it, a cheap keyword over there is expensive everywhere else. But I’m talking about finding keywords like “debt consolidation” on Google and they were asking for something like $39/click. Are you fucking crazy?! A click that costs around the same amount that the entire CPA pays out at? At first I got to thinking, well maybe its worth it if it converts at 1:1, but what are the chances of that right? Well, being the gambler I am I tried it out. A few hundred bucks later, total elapsed time was maybe 2 hours max, and I burned through the daily budget and saw ONE conversion. So it wasn’t worth it at all for me. Maybe it can work for some guys, but if it ain’t workin for me, I’m dumping that silly bastard and moving.

Then I got to thinking, and here is where I always get myself into trouble or off topic… I thought, well, imagine I had a domain for that keyword, debt consolidation, and imagine too if I actually got off my ass and hired a content writer to bang out a few articles on it for me. Then imagine if I would actually plug in those articles, maybe syndicate them on those article sites all of the ebook fuckers swear by, and get a few hundred clicks off it. So to make a long story short, I took a short break from my keyword research that day, found some long keyword domain for the theme/topic, hired a content writer for some quick cash, and actually hired someone else to do the work for me (guys cmon, I’m fucking lazy, and sometimes if you have the cash, its better to throw money at a problem than work it out yourselves). By the end of that day, I had a blog made, with some unique content (although it sounded like the same bullshit you’d find anywhere else), a bunch of ads from one of my PPC feed engines (I’ll get into this in a later post, but if you own XML PPC feeds, you can snip them up and customize them to look like content or adsense styles - very effective although they don’t pay as much as Adsense). So now what was left to do? I didn’t want to wait around for those article sites to send me free traffic, and since I have little patience for anything I decided, FUCK IT, I’ll buy some traffic from a 2nd tier engine for cheap and just arb it over.
